Sudden Death in the Young Case Registry

Tools for Providers

The SUID (Sudden Unexpected Infant Death)/SDY (Sudden Death in the Young) Case Registry surveillance program funded by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. It’s built on the National Center for Fatality Review and Prevention’s Child Death Review Case Reporting System. It is a collaboration between the National Institutes of Health and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention designed to improve surveillance and create a resource of information for researchers to study the characteristics of cases of sudden death in the young.

These tools can be used by anyone investigating or reviewing sudden unexpected death in youth. If you have any questions, comments, or feedback about the tools, please contact the SDY Data Coordinating Center.
